This technique takes time. We are never “cured” of our tension. We have to have some level of tension in our bodies, but this technique allows us to consciously control that tension so it’s not habitual or overwhelming. You will feel the affects of the technique after each session! And then you will know how to control it day after day.

The Alexander Technique involves release of tension and and ease of efficient movement in the entire body. I suggest wearing something comfortable and something you can easily move in. Yoga pants, shorts, t-shirts, etc.

I just need space for my table (basic massage table), and an area to put a chair for us to use. Please keep the area free from clutter and/or dangerous items. I’m not allergic to pets, so they are welcome to roam free as per usual!

Yes. It does. This technique is not a quick fix or party trick. It’s a technique that needs to be practiced and tried for a period of time. It may take some time to get used to thinking in the way of the technique. I urge you to give it a chance and try it. There’s a lot of literature on this work if you feel compelled to do some research beforehand. I suggest “The Use of the Self” by F.M. Alexander, himself. Or “Body Learning” by Michael J. Gelb.

You can have a session everyday of the week if you want. One (1) session/week is advisable if possible. I wouldn’t go more than a week without a session if you can help it. This is why getting a Bundle is nice!
